Speakers and Programs for Students during The School Day
Partnering with PTO's and Principals to Bring Quality Speakers to D181 Schools
The Student Speaker Series encourages the schools in District 181 to work together to bring quality speakers to our District. When two or more schools work together to bring in a speaker the District 181 Foundation will come in as an equal partner to cover a portion of the cost. For example, if three schools work together to bring in a speaker, the total cost will be divided by four, lowering the cost to each school.
Who can participate?
Representatives from any D181 School or PTO.
How does the program work?
One two or more schools have decided to hire the same speaker, a representative from one of the schools should contact the District 181 Foundation using the form below.
When should the Foundation be contacted?
The Foundation may be contacted anytime during the year. Please note that budgeted funds are limited and the Foundation must be contacted prior to the event. We will not provide funding for events that have already occurred. We can accept requests for a year starting in the spring of the prior year.
Payments
The D181 Foundation can pay through reimbursements to the participating PTOs or can may payments directly to the speaker, depending on what works best in each situation.
